About the Role
The Project Estimator supports the estimating team by assisting with material takeoffs, pricing support, proposal preparation, and job documentation. This is an entry-level role designed for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in learning the estimating side of construction. This position provides hands-on learning with construction plans, materials, and pricing while working closely with experienced estimators and leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read measurements and perform basic calculations
- Willingness to learn construction materials and processes Good verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- Coursework or degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field
- Internship, trade school, or construction-related work experience
- Familiarity with construction drawings or blueprints · Experience with estimating or takeoff software (a plus, not required)

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic material takeoffs and quantity entry
- Organize drawings, bids, and estimating files
- Help prepare proposal documents and bid packages
- Request and track vendor pricing under supervision
- Support job setup and handoff documentation after award
- Maintain estimating logs and pricing records
- Participate in training and development activities
