Service Superintendent

Campbellsport, WI

JOB SUMMARY

The Service Superintendent oversees up to four service crews (approximately eight employees) and ensures that customer expectations are met through strong leadership, hands-on training, and efficient coordination of daily activities. This role is responsible for responding to service calls, assessing needs, and ensuring accurate communication with office staff for timely and competitive project bids.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in construction, roofing, siding, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices and ability to enforce safety compliance.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, scopes of work, and project requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license as this position requires the operation of company vehicles.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • 5+ years of construction experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or superintendent role.
  • Previous experience leading service crews in roofing, siding, or sheet metal.
  •  Familiarity with scheduling, project management tools, and customer communication.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report).
  •  Willingness to work flexible hours and be available for urgent calls outside of normal business hours.
  • Ability to travel between job sites and headquarters as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee up to four service crews, assigning tasks based on skill and location.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, administer site-specific safety plans, and lead toolbox talks.
  • Respond to service calls, perform initial evaluations, and coordinate with office staff for bids.
  • Perform hands-on training and support field workers on-site as needed.
  • Administer disciplinary actions and provide performance evaluations with the Service Manager.
  • Handle customer communication, address concerns, and manage change orders.
  • Oversee procurement and staging of materials for job sites.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with production leaders to review progress.
  • Enter job-related data into the online database (Project Prep Monday board).
  • Hold crews accountable to company standards for safety, customer service, quality, and pace.
  • Be available outside normal hours for urgent service-related issues.
